Vikram has expressed happiness on the winning of a National Award by director Bala, with whom he had worked with for two important films in his career- ?Sethu? and ?Pithamagan?.
?When he asked me to do ?Pithamagan?, the only thing he said was the story is about a man who goes on a revenge mode after the death of his friend. After saying this, he said I would be getting a National Award. As he predicted it right, I got one,? says the ?Chiyaan?.
?The National Award for which he has been selected now is just a beginning. He would go great heights in the future,? the actor says and adds: ?Because, Bala is one such person who breathes cinema. Filmmaking runs in his veins.?
Recalling an incident, Vikram says, ?It was the first day shoot of ?Sethu?. Bala was a debutant director then. But he neither had confusion nor hesitation in getting the act right from all members of the cast and crew. He is a thorough professional right from day one.?
