12 people including college students were killed and several injured as a lone gunman opened fire at a bar named Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks near Los Angeles, California. Eyewitness say that the man entered around midnight with his face half covered by a hood and first opened fire on a man near the door and then trained the gun in the middle and fired.
The bar conducts College Country Night every Wednesday evenings and students of a local college Pepperdine University were also present. After a 911 call police entered the building finding blood all over and a sergeant Ron Helus was also killed taking several bullets. People tried to escape throwing stools at the windows of the bar to try and escape and some of them did get away that way. The gunman has also been found dead but it is still not clear whether he shot himself or was shot by cops.
