Chris Evans gets a new honour! Dwayne Johnson wants to share it

“Captain America” actor Chris Evans was named People Magazine’s “sexiest man alive” for 2022 on Monday, following his Marvel co-star Paul Rudd having the title in 2021. Evans, who is 41 and single, said the title “feels like a weird form of humble bragging.” However, he was eager to share the news with his biggest fan – his mom.

“My mom will be so happy,” Evans told People in the publication’s article revealing him as this year’s winner. “She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.”

Soon after, Chris Evans shared his reaction to bagging the title during his appearance in a video shown on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Host Stephan first made fun of how last year’s winner Paul Rudd was chosen after hilarious scientific research. Dwayne Johnson made him understand how he deserves to share the title with him since he was earlier chosen as the sexiest man alive and has not given up the title. Chris agreed. On being asked to give a sexy message, Chris said, “go vote tomorrow”.

The sexiest man alive feature has been an annual event for the publication since the award’s inception in 1985 with inaugural winner Mel Gibson. Last year’s honoree was Paul Rudd, while other recent winners include Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Idris Elba and Blake Shelton.
