Vikram to romance this hot young actress in Pa. Ranjith’s ‘Chiyaan 61’?

Pa. Ranjith’s next movie ‘Chiyaan 61’ went on floors with an official pooja on July 16th and there is already great hype towards it.  The film produced on a grand scale by Studio Green K.E. Gnanavelraja stars Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role with G.V. Prakash scoring the music.

Pa. Ranjith has revealed in the pooja that ‘Chiyaan 61’ is set in Kolar Gold Fields during the British rule in the 19th century and depicts the contributions of Tamils in building the legendary town. There will be elements of magical realism as well as strong depiction of the plight of those who strived like slaves to unearth the gold.   He also revealed that the film contains a huge starcast which will be officially announced soon.

Meanwhile there is a buzz on social media that hot actress Rashmika Mandanna is likely to play the female lead in ‘Chiyaan 61’.  The 26 year old is already busy with biggies such as Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’, Ranbhir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ and Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa The Rise’.  

Sources close to the ‘Chiyaan 61’ team however are tightlipped about the cast of the film and are stating that when the official announcement comes there will be big surprises in store.  Lets wait and watch.
