China is praising Modi: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday accused that China is praising Narendra Modi days after China’s People’s Liberation Army attacked the 16 Bihar regiment of the Indian Army on June 15-16.  The MP of Wayanad also said that China has grabbed our land in Ladakh.  

“China killed our soldiers. China took our land. Then, why is China praising Mr Modi during this conflict?” RaGa asked, sharing a news item which quotes Global Times, the Communist Party of China’s mouthpiece, as saying that Modi had said on June 19 that Chinese were not present in India.  

The above statement by Modi had created a lot of confusion.  On June 20, with the aim of clearing the air, the government clarified that the Prime Minister was talking about the situation after the June 15-16 skirmish and not the situation that prevailed before that.  The Chinese army vacating our land was the result of the June 15-16th bravery of the Indian Army regiment, Modi was clarified to have said.
