Director Cheran had returned to direction after a gap post JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai with the family entertainer Thirumanam starring Umapathi, Kavya Suresh, Thambi Ramaiah, MS Bhaskar, Suganya besides Cheran himself.
The movie didn’t perform well at the box office and now the director is focusing on his next script and next acting venture Rajavukku check. Cheran had been receiving some positive responses for Thirumanam from a lot of people who had watched the movie online.
Following this, the director made a tweet, giving an opportunity for people who saw Thirumanam in pirated version to let go off their guilt by transferring 100 rupees to the account of the movie’s producer. While a lot of people responded positively by transferring and posting screenshots, there was criticism as well. It must be noted that a similar situation happened for Raju Murugan directorial Joker and people transferred close to 2 lakhs with which the movie’s team built toilets, in connection with the theme of Joker.
