The esteemed Malayalam superstar, Mammootty, is set to grace the silver screen with a captivating new film titled ‘Bramayugam.’ This horror thriller boasts an ensemble cast featuring Ashok Selvan, Siddharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz in the lead roles. Under the proficient direction of Rahul Sadasivan, with dialogues penned by TD. Ramakrishnan, the project is in full swing.

The shooting of ‘Bramayugam’ has been an extensive endeavor, spanning across awe-inspiring locations such as Ottapalam, Kochi, Athirapally, and more. The journey commenced on August 17, 2023, and has been nothing short of grand in scale.THe makers shared that the film’s shooting has been wrapped on 18 October 2023.

Currently, the dedicated team is immersed in post-production efforts, with an ambitious goal to release the film in theaters worldwide in early 2024. What sets this film apart is its multilingual release strategy, with ‘Bramayugam’ set to captivate audiences in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi simultaneously. The film has garnered significant anticipation, especially since the release of the poster in September, which unveiled Mammootty’s intriguing look in the movie. Fans eagerly await the continuation of Mammootty’s successful streak, including the blockbuster ‘Kannur Squad,’ his latest release.

This film holds a special place as the inaugural production of Night Shift Studios, a production house exclusively dedicated to producing Horror-Thriller genre films. ‘Bramayugam’ is presented by Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios, making it a cinematic venture brimming with creativity and talent. With Shehnad Jalal as the Director of Photography, Jothish Shankar as the Production Designer, Shafique Mohammed Ali as the Editor, and music composed by Christo Xavier, the movie boasts a team of skilled professionals.

At the film’s launch, Sadasivan emphasized that the story is deeply rooted in the dark ages of Kerala, setting the stage for a captivating narrative. In a remarkable turn of events, Mammootty embraces the role of the antagonist, dedicating 30 days to the film, while Arjun Ashokan takes on the role of the protagonist, committing 60 days to the project. This unexpected move by Mammootty, venturing into the horror genre, has enthralled movie enthusiasts, leaving them super thrilled and exceptionally excited to witness this unique cinematic experience.
