Bobby Deol’s portrayal of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the upcoming period epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, is undergoing a major transformation—thanks to the actor’s powerful performance in Animal. The film, directed by Jyothi Krishna, is being mounted on a grand scale, and now, Bobby Deol’s character is receiving a dramatic overhaul to match his evolving star power and screen persona.
Initially, Bobby had completed a few scenes for the film. However, after witnessing his haunting and expressive role in Animal, where he captivated audiences with sheer intensity and minimal dialogues, director Jyothi Krishna felt inspired to reshape Aurangzeb’s role entirely.
“Bobby Deol garu’s performance in Animal was spellbinding,” said Jyothi Krishna. “The way he conveyed deep emotion without uttering a word was mesmerizing. It made me realize that Aurangzeb’s arc in our film needed more depth, power, and complexity to truly leverage Bobby garu’s strengths as a performer.”
The director went back to the drawing board, revisiting the character’s motivations, backstory, emotional layers, and visual presentation. The goal: to create a more riveting, intense version of Aurangzeb that resonates with Bobby Deol’s newly rediscovered range and intensity.
“When I narrated the revised script, Bobby garu was thrilled. He’s an actor who loves exploring new dimensions and reinventing himself for the audience,” Jyothi Krishna added. “In Hari Hara Veera Mallu, he appears more intense, elegant, and commanding. The way he communicates volumes through his eyes alone is truly remarkable. Working with him has been a fantastic experience.”
This character makeover is expected to bring a whole new gravitas to the film’s narrative, enhancing the emotional depth and elevating the clash between Pawan Kalyan and Bobby Deol’s characters. With a refreshed vision and powerful performances, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is shaping up to be an epic saga that blends historical grandeur with emotionally charged storytelling.
