Music sensation Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has revealed that his chartbuster song “Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava” from Pushpa: The Rise has been allegedly copied in Turkish. The song, which became a global sensation and ruled music charts across languages, has now reportedly been used without authorization by Turkish pop singer Atiye.
Speaking about the incident, DSP expressed disappointment and surprise. He said, “Pushpa lo mana ‘Oo Antava’ paata ni chala mandi chala rakalaga enjoy chesaru. Kani ippudu adi Turkish lo copy chesaru ani telisindi. Singer Atiye vaari version lo chala similarities unnayi. Idi plain copy ani cheppali.”
The song, originally performed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and sung by Indravathi Chauhan, became an instant viral hit, praised for its bold lyrics, infectious rhythm, and Devi Sri Prasad’s signature beats. It garnered massive global attention, and now the Turkish version allegedly replicates the tune without proper credit or licensing.
Fans of Pushpa and Indian cinema have expressed outrage on social media, calling for recognition of the original creators. Meanwhile, DSP hinted at taking legal steps or addressing the issue formally with the concerned parties.
“Mana music ki international appeal undi ani ide example,” DSP stated proudly, though with a hint of concern over creative theft.
This incident brings back to focus the increasing global influence of Indian cinema—and the growing need to protect its intellectual property on international platforms.
