Australian cricketer Shane Warne’s untimely death on March 4 had left his fans and cricket viewers across the world devastated. The police in Thailand, where the cricketer was vacationing, had reportedly found blood stains on the floor of his room.
Shane Warne was declared dead by doctors at the Thai International Hospital on March 4, after friends tried in vain to revive him in his luxury villa earlier that evening. An Australian media outlet had later revealed that the Thai police had found blood on the floor and bath towels in the room where Warne was staying. Satit Polpinit, a commander of the local provincial police, was reportedly quoted as saying by Thai media, “A large amount of blood was found in the room. When CPR was started, the deceased had coughed up liquid and was bleeding.”
The police superintendent at Koh Samui’s Bo Phut station had ruled out any foul play and declared that the cricketer died of natural causes as he had seen a doctor about his heart recently. Shane Warne passed away of a suspected heart attack at the age of 52.
