Recently, KCR targeted the BJP in vehement terms after Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma made derogatory remarks about Rahul Gandhi’s lineage. He shamed the saffron party and lashed out at its alleged uncultured behaviour. Many were surprised by KCR’s outbursts and the simultaneous sympathizing with Rahul Gandhi.
It seems BJP is avenging KCR’s diatribes now. After KTR said on the floor of the Assembly that power and water supplies to Secunderabad Cantonment will be cut off, BJP is trying to project TRS as an anti-Army party.
G Kishan Reddy has said that TRS has a history of insulting the Armed forces. “CM KCR mocked the Indian Armed forces saying they ran away against China. KCR and a TRS MLA asked for proof for (Uri) surgical strikes. The issue of cantonment roads needs to be handled sensitively as Cantonment feels that is a threat to security and installations within the area,” the BJP leader said.
He added, “Even for one to entertain the thought of cutting supplies to our defence establishments, much less by a Minister, is absolutely deplorable. The statement of KTR is an insult to the service and sacrifice of our defence personnel.”
It is clear that the BJP wants to portray the TRS as an anti-national party in subtle terms.
