BJP mollifies Purandeswari

Amidst talk that Daggubati Purandeswari is miffed with the BJP High Command and planning to quit the party, the saffron party has made her the chairperson of the committee to prepare election manifesto.  For now, her journey to YSRCP has just been stalled.

The Manifesto Committee will have former Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao as the Convener, a statement issued by BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana says.

Recently, the YSRCP offered a ticket to Hitesh Chenchuram, Purandeswari’s son, from Paruchur in Prakasam district.  Hitesh is currently a US citizen. He is reportedly planning to relinquish the citizenship of America to join politics.

The buzz is that, her husband, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao expects a Lok Sabha ticket from Jagan in the upcoming elections.
