Sonali Phogat, a well-known TikTok star in Haryana, has been given the ticket to contest from Adampur constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Sonali had been a small-time Doordarshan actress years ago. She became famous after she started her stint on TikTok. Thanks to WhatsApp and the penetration of smartphones, her glamorous videos caught up quite fast.
The saffron party is expecting to win 75 out of 90 seats in the State. Its CM, Manohar Lal Khattar, is quite popular.
