Director Vishnuvardhan, who started his career directing movies like Arindhum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal is known for giving Thala Ajith a stylish makeover with Billa and has been a pivotal element in transforming the actor into a style icon. The actor-director duo had also worked in Arrambam.

Vishnuvardhan had directed the Arya - Kreshna starrer Yatchan (2015) last, and after making his Tollywood debut with the Pawan Kalyan starrer Panjaa way back in 2011, now the director is all set to enter Bollywood as well, as the official announcement is out.

Popular producer and director Karan Johar of Dharma Productions has made it official that the shooting of Vishnuvardhan's Bollywood debut Shershaah will begin soon. The movie revolves around the true story of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra, and stars Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles.
