Bigg Boss title winner opens up on ‘Adipurush’ role

Bigg Boss Hindi Season 13 title winner Sidharth Shukla has been rumoured to have been approached to play a role in ‘Adipurush’. Several Bollywood media reports have claimed that he will be seen as Ravana’s son, Meghnad, in the pan-India flick.

Turns out that the news is false. The talented actor has said that he hasn’t been approached by the makers of the Prabhas-starrer. “Honestly, it hasn’t come to me yet. So, I really don’t know if there is any truth to it or not. For me, I really don’t know because nothing has come to me,” Shukla said at an event to promote ‘Broken But Beautiful, a web series.

The Om Raut directorial, in which Saif Ali Khan is playing Ravana, has Kriti Sanon as Sita. Lakshmana is being played by Sunny Singh. Its cast is already dominated by Bollywoodians.

Recently, there were reports that Kannada star Kiccha Sudeepa will be playing Vibhishana. Commenting on the reports, the ‘Eega’ actor said, “The ‘Adipurush’ team has contacted my manager but I have not met them yet personally. Discussions are going on, it is too early to react on it.”

The film will hit the screens in August 2022.
