The Tamil version of 'Bigg Boss' hosted by Kamal Haasan and telecast on Vijay TV has served as a launch pad for its contestants and title winners in Tamil cinema. The first season's winner Aarav played the lead in a few movies while Harish Kalyan went to the next level in his career after participating in the reality show.

Now it looks like its the turn of 'Bigg Boss 6' title winner Azeem who has reportedly signed on to play the lead role in a new movie. According to sources the story is village based and will be directed by Ponram who gave consecutive super hits with Sivakarthikeyan namely 'Varuthapatha Valibar Sangam' and 'Rajini Murugan'. Azeem has already played lead roles in the serials 'Maya', 'Pirivom Santhippom (season 2)', 'Deivam Thandha Veedu', 'Priyamanavale', 'Pagal Nilavu', 'Kaikutty Singam', 'Niram Maaratha Pookkal' and 'Poove Unakkaga'.

Ponram's last three films 'Seemaraja', 'MGR Magan' and 'DSP' starring Sivakarthikeyan, Sasikumar and Vijay Sethupathi respectively were panned by critics and were box office failures. It remains to be seen if he can gain back form with his latest collab with Azeem. The official announcement along with the rest of the cast and crew details is expected soon.
