Actress Bhumika had made her Tamil debut with the Vijay starrer superhit movie Badri, and was later seen in the superhit Rojakoottam. She had acted in numerous Telugu movies, and post her marriage she had been very selective in choosing movies, and was last seen in Samantha starrer U-turn.

Now, Bhumika has been roped in to play a key role in the upcoming movie of Udhayanidhi Stalin, Kannai Nambathey directed by Mu Maran known for directing the thriller Iravukku Aayiram Kangal starring Arulnithi and Mahima Nambiar. This movie will feature Aathmika as the female lead.

Bhumika has started shooting for her role, and has completed 10 days of shoot and reportedly, the team has completed 50% of the shooting, despite the fact that Udhayanidhi Stalin was occupied with election campaigning. Besides Kannai Nambathey, Bhumika will be seen next in Nayanthara starrer Kolaiyuthir Kaalam.
