Charming star Sharwanand is gearing up for a massive career leap as he joins hands for the first time with action specialist Sampath Nandi for an ambitious pan-India period action drama titled Bhogi. Mounted on a grand scale by producer KK Radhamohan under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Arts and presented by Lakshmi Radhamohan, the film is already being positioned as one of the most expansive ventures in Sharwanand’s career.
The makers unveiled the intense first-look poster today, and it makes a striking statement.
The first look presents Sharwanand in his most rugged and ferocious transformation to date. The gritty close-up instantly establishes a fierce mass avatar — thick, unkempt beard, dense mustache, and wild curly hair replacing his usual polished persona. There’s a raw, battle-hardened aura to the character, suggesting a man forged in conflict and shaped by violence.
Seated behind a massive rustic machete-like weapon wrapped in cloth, Sharwanand’s posture hints at impending brutality. The dark, smoky backdrop filled with drifting embers reinforces the film’s fiery tone and aligns seamlessly with its powerful tagline: “A Blood Fest.” The visual language signals intensity, vengeance, and large-scale confrontation.
This is not merely a makeover — it’s a calculated reinvention. Sharwanand appears to be embracing a darker, more aggressive territory, stepping firmly into a full-fledged mass action space.

Director Sampath Nandi has reportedly crafted a compelling period backdrop set along the North Telangana–Maharashtra border during the late 1960s — a setting ripe for socio-political tension, factional conflicts, and high-voltage drama. The narrative is expected to blend historical texture with commercial action spectacle.
The team is currently filming major action sequences in Hyderabad on an extensive custom-built set. These large-scale episodes are being choreographed by renowned stunt master Dilip Subbarayan, promising adrenaline-charged combat sequences.
The film features Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi as the female leads, alongside several notable actors in pivotal roles.
On the technical front, Bhogi boasts a strong crew. Kiran Kumar Manne heads the production design, Kishore Kumar Arokia handles cinematography, and blockbuster composer Bheems Ceciroleo is scoring the music, adding commercial heft to the project.
The makers have officially announced a grand pan-India release on August 28, coinciding with the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan. The film will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, underscoring its nationwide ambition.
With scale, transformation, and a blood-soaked backdrop, Bhogi signals that Sharwanand is ready to enter a new, more aggressive cinematic phase — and the first look makes it clear that this journey will be anything but restrained.
