It has been rumoured on social media that the Bhimavaram Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh has seen some irregularities. The rumour that has gone out is that there is a mismatch between the number of votes polled and the number counted.
Jana Sena Party has officially issued a statement on the controversy. “We learn that Jana Sena cadres are anxious over the alleged irregularities. Our party’s counting agents have held that the counting process was fair. There was no mismatch at all. It’s requested of the cadres not to be anxious over the rumours and not to take to streets,” the party said.
Bhimavaram saw Pawan Kalyan contesting. He was defeated there and in Gajuwaka.
The EC must be commended for holding the polls efficiently across the country.
