In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old man registered a complaint with the police as his girlfriend allegedly exported Rs. 22,000 from him after claiming that she had his nude video.
The man, identified as Suresh (name changed), apparently stripped naked during a WhatsApp video call with his girlfriend, following which she decided to extort money from him threatening to leak his nude video if he failed to comply. “During a chat last week, Sonia told me that she wanted to see me naked. Initially, I refused but she said she would also strip after I remove my clothing,” the victim reportedly told the police. Suresh was living alone as a paying guest while his roommate had left the house due to the coronavirus pandemic. The woman apparently disconnected the call as soon as Suresh stripped naked and had switched off her phone. A few days later, the victim got a call from a stranger who demanded Rs. 50,000 from him, threatening to leak his nude video otherwise.
Suresh initially paid up Rs. 22,000, as he did not have more money at that point. When the accused demanded money from him yet again, he decided to approach the police and file a complaint. Further investigation of the matter is currently underway.
