‘Bandobast’ director ensuring plot doesn’t get revealed

‘Bandobast’, starring Suriya and Complete Actor Mohanlal in key roles, is titled ‘Kaappaan’ in Tamil.  The films are going to hit the screens on September 20. Ahead of the release, the Tamil version’s Trailer was released earlier this week.

Explaining why the Trailer was cut the way it was cut, director KV Anand has said that the idea was not to reveal anything about the plot of the movie.  Suggesting that ‘Bandobast’ has twists in the story, the acclaimed filmmaker reveals that Mohanlal’s role was first offered to Amitabh Bachchan.  The Mollywood superstar plays India’s Prime Minister in the movie, while Suriya plays a Special Protection Group commando.

With music by Harris Jayaraj, the film will hold its pre-release event in the second week of September for the Telugu version.
