Bandla Ganesh is in the news for a negative reason.The producer of such hits as 'Gabbar Singh' and 'Temper' has been issued notice by a court in relation to a series of cheque bounce cases slapped against him by certain residents of Proddutur.

Reportedly, Ganesh is a loanee of the petitioners. He had issued cheques to them in the past in lieu of payment but they bounced. They resorted to legal help.

The producer, who has been keeping a low-key profile, will have to appear before the court on October 9.

Last year, he was sentenced to six months jail term and a fine of Rs. 15.86 lacs in relation to the pending remuneration that he owed to 'Temper' writer Vakkantham Vamsi. Over the years, the payment had been pending to the tune of Rs. 25 lacs. Ganesh, who is no stranger to such financial controversies, was granted bail.
