The final test between India and Australia at SCG, began with Aussies resuming on 24/0, and as the openers started scoring runs, Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Khawaja for 27(71). However, Harris and Labuschagne stood firm for a while, before Jadeja struck to dismiss Harris for 79(120).
Even as Labuschagne tried to resurrect, Jadeja struck again and removed Marsh early for 8(13). With Labuschagne's departure after scoring 38(95), Head and Handscomb joined hands, and the duo tried to settle with a partnership, but Kuldeep returned to dismiss Head, leaving Aussies struggling at 192/5.
Skipper Tim Paine went out soon after for a mere 5(14), making it Kuldeep's 3rd wicket, but Cummins yet again stayed resilient, and counter-attacked Indian bowlers without letting them capitalize on the wickets.
As Handscomb 28(91)* and Cummins 25(41)* remained unbeaten, bad light stopped play early, as Aussies ended the day at 236/6, trailing by 386 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of Indian bowlers with 3/71, while Jadeja had figures of 2/62.
