Actor Dinesh who had last appeared on screen in the fun filled entertainer Kalavani Maapillai is currently acting in Irandaam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu, which is shooting in Chennai and suburban areas, and this movie directed by Athiyan Athirai, a former associate of Pa.Ranjith, also stars Anandhi, Rythvika, Ramdoss, Lingesh, John Vijay, Johny Hari and Vinoth.

The movie produced by Pa.Ranjith's Neelam Productions has cinematography by Kishore, and currently the team is canning action episodes supervised by Stunt choreographer Sam in Chennai National highway in nights. The sequence involves Dinesh hanging from a lorry, and looking at the Dinesh involving in stunts, commandos who came by surrounded the lorry.

Dinesh who wasn't aware of the fact that they were real commandos was casually asking if the guns they had were original, and as they pointed the guns at him, director Athiyan had shouted that it was a film shooting, and only later Dinesh realised the situation and got shocked, and then the commandos looked at his face, confirming that it was a shooting. The Commandos then appreciated Dinesh saying that it looked realistic. Irandaam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu is in final stages of shooting, and is being shot in locations in Kanchipuram and Chengalpattu.
