Atharvaa to act in a period film?

Actor Atharvaa is basking on the glory of 'Eetti' becoming one of the super hit films of the year 2015 and also the biggest grosser of his acting career. His next film would be 'Kanidhan' directed by debutante Santosh which is expected to hit the screens within Summer 2016.

Atharvaa has also launched his production banner and will be producing a film in which he will be acting under the direction of Badri Venkat who directed Atharvaa's debut film 'Baana Kathadi'.

Now we hear from reliable sources that Atharvaa will be teaming up director Vasantha Balan for a new film. Sources say that the actor and director have met a few times and an official announcement about the project for which they will join hands for the first time can be expected soon.

Vasanthabalan's last film was the Siddharth, Prithviraj starrer 'Kaviyathalaivan' which released in 2014. The film was a period flick which was a fictional take on the lives of Tamil theater artists of the Pre-Independence era. His previous film 'Aravaan' that released in 2012 was also a period film based on the Saahithya Award winning novel 'Kandhakottam'.
