When many media outlets last week misquoted Pawan Kalyan as having said that the BJP told him in 2017 about a war-like situation between India and Pakistan ahead of the 2019 elections, the saffron party fielded GVL Narasimha Rao (spokesman and a Telugu man) to slam the Jana Sena chief. GVL mocked Pawan on Saturday, taking a serious exception to his comments.
On Sunday, Pawan asked GVL to go to the Prime Minister and know what a patriot Pawan is. “Ask the Prime Minister of our country about my undying love towards this nation and my patriotism. Do you feel only BJP is filled with patriotism and the rest are anti-national? Hold your tongue, we are not your slaves,” Pawan said.
The BJP had to comment on Pawan’s misquoted statements because even a Pakistani newspaper quoted the Jana Sena chief.
