Sports lovers, get ready for another ‘Kabaddi’ film!

The talented director Ahswiny Iyer Tiwari impressed captivated audiences with her ‘Amma Kanakku’ last year which featured Amala Paul, Revathi and Samuthrakani in the lead roles. The film which was bankrolled by Dhanush went onto receive critical acclaim and commercial success.

Now, the directress is preparing to mark her identity in the sports film genre as well. What is more interesting is that Ashwiny has the traditional sport of Kabaddi, which is woven into the Tamil culture, as the subject in her mind. And we are only more than happy about it.

While already films like ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ had Kabaddi to be its theme, it would be interesting to know how Ashwiny’s treatment of the sport would differ. It is expected that official details regarding the film’s cast and crew will be out soon.
