As today marks the first year's death anniversary of Director, lyricist and actor Arunraja Kamaraj's wife Sindhu he took to his Twitter handle to remember her and opened an emotional note.

Arun shared a photo of her with flowers and garland and wrote, "உடனிரு எப்போதும் ❤❤❤உடைந்திடா உண்மையாய் உடைத்திடா மென்மையாய் .. ஏதேதோ எண்ணங்கள் எனைச்சூழ நீயே அரணாய் எனை ஆள.. உடனிரு எந்நாளும் பாப்பி❤❤❤.

In December last year, Anuraja also wished his late wife on their wedding anniversary. Arunraja shared some pictures from their wedding. With a happy picture that he took with his wife, he wrote, “Happy Wedding Anniversary Paapi"

On May 16 2021, Arunraja’s wife, who was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for Covid-19 treatment along with her husband, breathed her last. She had stopped responding to treatment. Arunraja, who was also undergoing Covid-19 treatment in the hospital, attended his wife’s funeral wearing a PPE kit. Sivakarthikeyan and Udhayanidhi Stalin were there to support their friend during his wife’s last rites.
