Vetrimaaran, one of the leading directors in Tamil cinema, has shared an interesting update about his upcoming film Arasan. He revealed that initially, he had considered actor Kavin for a crucial one-line concept scene in the film and had even directly discussed the idea with Kavin. However, he later decided to cast a different actor for the role, and this new actor is currently performing in the part.
One-Line Concept: Why Did I Think Kavin Would Fit?
In his interview, Vetrimaaran said, “There’s a unique one-line concept scene in Arasan. That scene needs to have a strong impact. I thought actor Kavin’s acting style and his natural expressions would suit the character perfectly. That’s why I directly shared the idea with Kavin. He responded very enthusiastically.”Kavin has gained popularity among the youth after films like Naattu Pura and Lift. His natural acting and ability to handle emotional scenes might have impressed Vetrimaaran. However, from the director’s perspective, this was only a temporary idea.

Why the Change? The Selection of the New Actor
Later, considering the depth of the character and the overall tone of the film, Vetrimaaran changed his decision. “I decided to cast a different actor for that role. Now, the new actor is performing in the part. This is the perfect choice for the film’s storytelling,” he explained.Vetrimaaran has not yet revealed who the new actor is. This has created great anticipation among fans. In Vetrimaaran’s films (Aadukalam, Visaranai, Vada Chennai, etc.), casting choices are always a surprise. This time too, the tradition continues.
