The 65th National Film Awards were announced this morning amidst great anticipation from the members of the film fraternity and fans as well. And weren’t we elated at the news that double Academy Award winning music composer AR Rahman bagged two National Awards!
Guess what, the Isaipuyal had taken time off his busy schedule to share a heart-felt message for fans following the achievement. AR Rahman talked about working with ace director Mani Ratnam identifying him to be somone who has a ‘sea of ideas’ and how he enables his work to be organic and usable.
The music composer expressed his gratitude for one and all that worked with him including the director, actor Karthi, lyricists Vairamuthu, Karky and all the members of his team as well.
Further Rahman also talked about working for late actress Sridevi’s ‘Mom’ and was elated at it getting the National Award as well. He also stated that he missed the actress. Rahman ended the video note with his usual popular phrase ‘Ellaam Pugazhum Iraivanukke’.
