The DC Superhero flick 'Aquaman' directed by James Wan and starring James Momoa in the titular role has found widespread love from fans which has propelled it to the magical $1Billion at the global box office. It surpassed the company's 'The Dark Knight' and is the fifth film to make a billion dollars in 2018 after 'Avengers : Infinity War', 'Black Panther', 'Jurassic World : Fallen Kingdom' and 'Incredibles 2'.

James Wan has now helmed two movies in the billion dollar club with the first one being 2015's 'Furious 7'. He has shared his delight on social media stating “Firstly, Massive love and thank you to the fans and audiences around the world. Humbled by the way you’ve embraced Aquaman and how it has resonated on a global scale. I’ll forever be indebted to Jason for turning Aquaman into one of the coolest, cinematic superheroes ever, and becoming the gold standard for this character for generations to come.
