Actor Appukutty has been known for his supporting roles and humorous characters in movies like Sundarapandian, Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu, Veeram, Vedhalam and had also won the National award for best supporting actor for his performance in Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai.

Appukutty who was last seen in Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2, is all set to play the role of a farmer next in a movie which has been titled Vaazhga Vivasayi. The movie is directed by debutant Ponnimohan and has Vasundhara Kashyap, who was last seen in Kanne Kalaimaane as the female lead.

Appukutty revealed in a recent interview that Vaazhga Vivasayi will speak of the issues faced by farmers, and since he has been a farmer himself, it was easy for him to play the role. The actor also added that though there are numerous movies speaking about agriculture, this will be different and won't be preachy.
