It's known that Sithara Entertainments is remaking the Malayalam movie 'Kappela' in Telugu. Directed by debutant Shourie Chandrashekhar T Ramesh, the film is produced by S Naga Vamsi. Announced in July, it has Tamil actor Arjun Das of 'Master' fame in a key role.

The news is that Anikha Surendran is a front-runner for the female lead's role in the remake. Shivathmika Rajasekhar, the daughter of the Rajasekhar-Jeevitha duo, was earlier considered for the role. But the makers are now considering Anikha.

Anikha, who is a budding actress known mostly for Malayalam and Tamil movies, was seen as a teen Jayalalitha in the web series 'Queen'. She is essaying a pivotal part in the untitled Nagarjuna-Praveen Sattaru movie.

It's rumoured that 'Falaknuma Das' actor Vishwak Sen is being considered for a crucial role. Sweekar Agasthi and Vamsi Patchipulusu, respectively, are taking care of the music and cinematography departments. Written by budding writer Ganesh Kumar Raavuri, the film will hit the floors soon.
