Anchor DD is one of the most popular television personalities and is a known face in every household. While many thought why she hasn’t moved to the movie from television, the Koffee with DD anchor has now revealed the reason why.
She said, “When I became popular on the small screen, I told those who asked me to act in cinema, that I would create a kingdom for myself here and be a queen; Even those who were heroines then are no longer in the field, I am the queen in people’s minds today as then.”
DD initially made her debut as an actress, in the film Nala Damayanthi (2003) produced by Kamal Haasan, before going on to work in television serials, drawing attention for her performances in the Raadan Media ventures Selvi and Arasi. Later she shifted to hosting on Vijay Television and posted her own show Koffee with DD in the year 2014.
On the work front, DD was Sarvam Thaala Mayam. She will next be seen in the movie Coffee with Kadhal. The film stars Jiiva, Jai, Srikanth, Amritha Aiyer, Malvika Sharma, Raiza Wilson, Aishwarya Dutta, Dhivadarshini, Samyuktha Shanmugam, Redin Kingsley, and Yogi Babu in prominent roles, apart from the rest.
