Allari Naresh, renowned for his comedic prowess, makes a triumphant return to his roots with his 61st film, “Aa Okkati Adakku.” Directed by debutant Malli Ankam, the film is produced by Rajiv Chilaka under the banner of Chilaka Productions, with Bharath Laxmipati serving as co-producer.
The makers recently unveiled the film’s intriguing title, first look, and a glimpse that has generated immense excitement among audiences. The title, “Aa Okkati Adakku,” pays homage to Allari Naresh’s legendary father, EVV Satyanarayana’s classic hit film of the same name.
The glimpse offers a tantalizing introduction to the film’s premise through Allari Naresh’s character, Gana. When confronted by his family and neighbors about his marital status, he responds with the titular line, “Aa Okkati Adakku…,” revealing the film’s title. His humorous remark that marriage is a “Pan India” problem, despite the film’s exclusive release in Telugu, sets the tone for the film’s comedic undercurrent. To their inquiries, he amusingly responds with “Aa Okkati Adakku…,” unveiling the film’s title. This clever reveal underscores the protagonist’s view that marriage is a universal issue, even though the film will be exclusively released in Telugu.
The glimpse is replete with Allari Naresh’s signature comedic timing and witty dialogue delivery. Faria Abdullah plays the female lead, while Vennela Kishore, Jamie Lever, Viva Harsha, and Ariyana Glory appear in supporting roles, promising a well-rounded ensemble cast.
Abburi Ravi has penned the screenplay, while Suryaa handles the cinematography and Gopi Sundar composes the music. Chota K Prasad is the editor, and J K Murthy is the art director. The makers have announced a release date of March 22, 2024, in the glimpse.
