Akhil Akkineni has finally got the positive start he was hoping for. His latest action entertainer Lenin, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse, registered a promising opening at the box office by collecting around ₹10 crore gross worldwide on its first day.
The film began its theatrical run with modest advance bookings, particularly for the morning shows. However, positive word of mouth quickly boosted footfalls, resulting in a sharp rise in occupancy from the evening and night shows. Hyderabad emerged as one of the strongest centres, witnessing a significant jump in collections during the late-night screenings.
In the Telugu states, Lenin grossed approximately ₹7 crore, with Andhra Pradesh delivering an impressive performance. The Vizag region led the collections, while the Rayalaseema belt recorded comparatively lower numbers.

Outside the Telugu states, Karnataka contributed around ₹65 lakh, while the overseas market added nearly ₹2 crore, taking the film’s worldwide Day 1 gross to approximately ₹10 crore.
The opening is seen as an encouraging sign for Akhil Akkineni, who has been waiting for a solid commercial success after a string of disappointing outings. The positive audience response and improving occupancy throughout the day have raised expectations for a strong weekend performance.
Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin is jointly produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi. The film stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and has received a positive response for its action sequences, performances, and emotional narrative.
