Varun Tej is all set to entertain audiences with Korean Kanakaraju, a quirky horror-comedy directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. The film is currently in the final stages of post-production and has already generated considerable excitement among moviegoers.
The title glimpse created a strong buzz by offering a sneak peek into the film’s unique blend of horror, comedy, and Korean cultural influences. Adding to the anticipation, the first single, Kamsahamnida, turned out to be a chartbuster, further raising expectations for the film.
The makers have now officially announced that Korean Kanakaraju will hit theatres worldwide on August 7.

The newly unveiled release date poster exudes style and intensity. Varun Tej sports a rugged and ultra-stylish look as he lounges confidently on a chair, holding a blood-stained sword in one hand and a grenade in the other. Surrounded by a group of menacing Korean gangsters inside a dimly lit warehouse, he appears completely unfazed, hinting at the fearless and charismatic nature of his character. The striking neon lighting, gritty atmosphere, and international gangster backdrop add to the poster’s visual appeal.
Ritika Nayak plays the female lead, while popular comedian Satya will be seen in a pivotal role. The film also boasts a talented technical team, with S. Thaman composing the music and Manojh Reddy Katasani handling the cinematography.

With its refreshing premise, entertaining mix of horror and comedy, and stylish presentation, Korean Kanakaraju has emerged as one of the most anticipated Telugu entertainers of the year. Following the release date announcement, the makers are expected to unveil a series of promotional updates in the coming weeks leading up to the film’s theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Mega Prince Varun Tej Konidela already has his next project lined up. The shoot for his upcoming film Bhari is scheduled to commence in September 2026. The film will be directed by Yadhu Vamsee and produced by Niharika Konidela under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner.
