Talented actress Aishwarya Rajesh won the Best Actress Award for the year 2014 at the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards held on September 4th. She received the honor for her stunning portrayal of a underpriveliged single mother of two kids in Manikandan’s critically acclaimed ‘Kaaka Muttai’.
Aishwarya has since won hearts with her powerful performances in Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Kanaa’ and ‘Namma Veetu Pillai’ and ‘Ka Pe Ranasingam’ costarring Vijay Sethupathi. In recent times she is more focussed on female centric films and more than a few are under production.
A new movie starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead has been titled ‘Soppana Sundari’ directed by SG Charles and produced by Hamsini Entertainment and Huebox Studios. The film has in its cast National Award winner Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, Deepa Shankar, Karunakaran, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, Sunil Reddy, Augustine, Bijan, Thenar and KPY Vanniarasu. It is said to be a dark comedy and expected to hit the screens soon.
