Rudravanam PS Trailer: Naresh Agastya Promises a Gripping Crime Thriller

The trailer of Rudravanam PS, the upcoming ZEE5 Telugu Original, sets the stage for an intriguing crime thriller filled with mysterious disappearances, gruesome murders and disturbing revelations. Featuring Naresh Agastya as SI Sivakumar, the series promises an investigation that goes beyond conventional police proceedings, exploring the darker side of crime, power and prejudice. The series is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 on October 30, 2026.

A Mystery That Gets Darker With Every Clue

The trailer begins with references to a missing man and a robbery involving gold worth ₹25 lakh. What initially appears to be a routine police investigation soon takes a disturbing turn with hints of multiple murders and the discovery of a headless corpse in a forest.

These developments establish the central mystery while raising questions about how the incidents are connected. Rather than offering straightforward answers, the trailer introduces one unsettling detail after another, suggesting that the investigation could uncover a much larger web of secrets.

The possibility of powerful interests influencing the case adds another layer of intrigue. The narrative appears to move beyond the conventional question of who committed the crime, hinting at a story about hidden motives, social prejudice and the challenges of uncovering the truth.

Naresh Agastya Stands at the Centre of the Investigation

Naresh Agastya plays SI Sivakumar, the police officer tasked with navigating the complicated case. The trailer places his character at the heart of the investigation, surrounded by disturbing evidence and unanswered questions.

Banerjee appears as CI Venugopal, while Shiva Alapati plays ASI Madhav, Sugali Siloni portrays ASI Nirmala and Ramesh Konambhotla appears as Head Constable Sundar. The supporting cast establishes the police station’s investigative framework and hints at the different roles the officers may play as the mystery unfolds.

Although the trailer does not reveal enough to judge the performances in full, Naresh Agastya’s central role gives the series a clear investigative focus.

Atmospheric Visuals Strengthen the Suspense

One of the trailer’s notable strengths is its dark visual treatment. Cinematographer Ashkar uses shadowy locations, flashlight-lit searches and glimpses of crime scenes to create an atmosphere of uncertainty. The forest setting, in particular, adds an unsettling quality to the investigation.

The contrast between the police station and the isolated crime locations helps establish the series’ mood. Tense exchanges and carefully placed glimpses of evidence maintain the suspense without revealing the complete chain of events.

The trailer also appears to rely on gradual revelations rather than excessive exposition. This approach allows the mystery to remain at the forefront and encourages viewers to look for connections between the different incidents.

Does the Trailer Create Enough Curiosity?

The trailer of Rudravanam PS succeeds in establishing an intriguing premise. The missing-person case, gold robbery, multiple killings and headless corpse provide several strands of mystery, while the suggestion of deeper power dynamics gives the story additional weight.

However, the trailer deliberately keeps the larger picture under wraps. Whether these elements eventually come together into a convincing investigation will depend on the writing, character development and pacing of the complete series. The promotional footage alone does not establish how effectively the mysteries will be resolved.

An Intriguing Crime Thriller to Watch Out For

Overall, Rudravanam PS makes a promising first impression with its dark atmosphere, disturbing crime scenes and layered investigative premise. Naresh Agastya’s role as SI Sivakumar provides a focal point for the mystery, while the supporting cast and forest-based visuals contribute to the tense mood.

The trailer generates curiosity without giving away the central revelations. For viewers who enjoy Telugu crime thrillers built around police investigations and hidden secrets, the series looks like an interesting addition to the OTT lineup.

Rudravanam PS premieres on ZEE5 on October 30, 2026. The real test will be whether the series can turn its promising setup into a tightly written and satisfying crime thriller.
