Accomplished Indian level bike racer and actress Alisha Abdullah joined the Tamil Nadu Bhartiya Janata Party in the presence of its chief Annamalai in Chennai. Ajith fans have congratulated her on social media as she is a fellow racer of the iconic superstar and also a family friend.
Various strategies are being adopted by the BJP in Tamil Nadu to expand its membership and people who are famous in various fields are joining the party. Mainly those from the entertainment and sports fields are being poached by the party leaders. Radharavi, Gauthami, Gayatri Raghuram, Gangai Amaran, SVe Shekhar, RK Suresh, Ponnambalam, Madhuvanti and Namita from the Tamil film industry have joined the national ruling party. A few of them are also actively working.
Annamalai stated “I am happy to welcome Ms. Alisa Abdullah, a true legend of the sports industry and a wonderful competitor to the BJP. She is an inspiring woman who breaks barriers in the male-dominated sports industry. She has left a mark in sports. She has joined the BJP after seeing the work that Prime Minister Modi is doing for the sports industry.”
Alisa Abdullah was born on 24th July 1989 in Chennai. Since his father was a racer, she was interested in bike and car racing from a young age. Since the age of 9, she has been participating in indoor car racing and by the age of 11 she got her first win and at 13, she won the National Indoor Kart Championship.
Alisha also became the first woman in India to win champion title in racing. She has regularly participated in various races and has won several medals. She made her acting debut in a special appearance as a female biker in the Atharva-starrer ‘Irumbu Kuthirai’ and later played an important character in Vijay Antony’s ‘Saithan’.
Alisha has participated in races with Ajith Kumar and it is said that both their families are close to each other. She has shared photos with the mass hero on social media and stated that he is her godfather in racing.
