In a shocking incident, one of the popular Bengali film actress Mimi Chakraborty, who is all set to play the devotional role of Mahishasuramardini in a Mahalaya special show, was harassed by a taxi driver.

The taxi driver was arrested in Kolkata for passing lewd remarks at actress Mimi Chakraborty who is also a Trinamool Congress MP. The man was arrested from Mukundapur after Chakraborty filed a complaint against him in the local police station.

Reportedly, the driver made improper gestures and made vulgar comments when Mimi Chakraborty was passing by in Ballygunge Phari area. While he moved from the place after passing derogatory remarks, Mimi Chakraborty who's the Jadavpur MP noted down the registration number of his taxi and now the driver has been charged under various sections of the IPC.
