Trisha says no to Karthi’s request

Karthi and Trisha are teaming up for the first time in Mani Ratnam’s epic multistarrer ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ in which they play the roles of lovers Vanthiyathevan and Kundavai respectively.  Madras Talkies has been unveiling each character’s posters and already Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Karthi as Vanthiyathevan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandhini are out.

Earlier today the poster of Trisha as Kundavai was released with the tag “In a world of men, a woman of courage. Presenting Princess Kundavai!”.  Karthi wrote humorously tagging Trish “இளவரசி???????? Please send me live location, உங்கள் அண்ணனின் ஓலையை drop off பண்ணனும்!  (Princess send me live location I have to drop off a message to your brother).

Trisha has replied “Sorry அரண்மனையில் (In the palace) smart phones and smart people not allowed.”  The interaction between the two charismatic stars has wowed both their fans and fans of the film as well.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has music by A.R. Rahman and stars Jayam Ravi in the title role with the ensemble cast of top stars including Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Jayaram, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin Kakkamanu and Balaji Shakthivel.  

The teaser of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ will be released at 6pm on July 8th while the first part of the film ‘PS-1’ will release worldwide in five languages on September 30th.
