The kidnap and molestation case of a popular South Indian actress that shocked the nation is ongoing for the past three years and the Supreme Court has now given partial access of the memory card to actor Dileep who is accused of masterminding the crime. On February 17th, 2017 the young actress very popular in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada cinema was going home after a shoot in Kerala when she was kidnapped by one Pulsar Suni and his henchmen. The criminals then allegedly molested her in car and also shot the hideous crime on their cellphone.
The prime accused is in jail and Malayalam superstar Dileep was named as the mastermind and spent jail time from July 10th to October 3rd 2017. The actor has been fighting the case that the actress has framed due to prior enmity and alleged that the video was doctored to implicate him and sought the Supreme Court to view the footage to prove his innocence as the lower courts refused access.
The Supreme Court has now given permission to Dileep to view partial footage of the video to protect the privacy of the actress. The court has however not permitted him to make a copy of the memory card.
