Actress Meena made her debut as a child star in Tamil cinema and later became a leading heroine in all South Indian languages in the late 80s and 90s. She acted in many successful films with almost all the leading heroes of the time such as Rajini, Kamal, Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Karthik and later Ajith.

After getting married to IT professional Vidyasagar, in 2009, Meena concentrated on bringing up her daughter Nainika and cut down on films. Nainika herself starred in a pivotal role as Thalapathy Vijay's daughter in the blockbuster hit movie 'Theri' released in 2016.

Now that Nainika has grown up a little, Meena has resumed her acting career and recently played main roles in 'Dhrushyam 2' Malayalam and Telugu versions and in a supporing role in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaathe'.

Meena, who is currently starring in a few films like "Rowdy Baby", is also active on social media and from time to time shares photos of herself and her daughter. The latest photos shared by her show mother and daughter dressed in traditional style and making fans comment that they look like twin angels.
