Veteran actress Jayachithra’s husband Ganesh passes away

Veteran actress Jayachithra’s husband Ganesh passed away early this morning in Trichy and his body is said to be brought to the family’s Poes Garden residence in Chennai for last rites.  

Jayachithra who was born in Andhra Pradesh debuted in Tamil as a child artiste in ‘Kurathi Magan’ and was attained fame in K. Balachander’s ‘Arangettram’ released in 1973 and later on acted as the heroine opposite all the top hereos of the time including Sivaji Ganesan, Jai Shankar, Sivakumar, Muthuraman, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

Jayachithra and Ganesh’s son Amresh Ganesh started his career as a hero and later switched to music direction.  Kollywood celebrities have expressed condolences to Jayachithra and Amresh.
