Hari Teja is aghast that she was recently humiliated by a lady just because she is from the film industry.
"The other day, I went to watch 'Mahanati' with my father, sister and mother. Due to some adjustmet, my father ended up next to a lady, who came to watch the movie with her daughter. As soon as she saw my father, she objected to sitting next to him. While my father changed his seat, I tried to ask her what is wrong if he sits there. At this, the lady said that she wouldn't sit next to 'cinema vallu'. I was flabbergasted. I argued with her. Throughout the argument, she kept on hurling insults at me just because I am from the film industry. I screamed and I might have cried. She went on to say nonsense about film people," Hari Teja today said.
"Let me say that we actors don't do a role just for the sake of money. We live it, we dream about it. We do it for your appreciation. We deserve some respect. I come from a small family. My parents had to struggle to make both ends meet. My mother was apprehensive when I chose the entertainment industry. I have come LIVE today to share the unsavoury incident because I feel people should respect film fraternity members. My hands are full and I am not here for the sake of attention. I respect the work I do. I respect my career. I have a family and I would feel bad if people talk as they like," she said.
Hari Teja added that actors are also similar like everybody else. She got emotional and her eyes welled up with tears as she recounted the incident.
