Bakaiti Season 2 Trailer: Kataria Family Returns With More Chaos, Laughter and Emotion

The much-loved Kataria family is back with another dose of laughter, emotion and everyday family chaos. ZEE5 has unveiled the trailer of Bakaiti Season 2, with the Hindi original set to premiere exclusively on the streaming platform on September 25, 2026.

Following the warm response to the first season for its relatable portrayal of a middle-class family and the everyday situations that audiences easily connect with, the second season promises to take the story forward with more conflicts, relationships, humour and heartfelt moments.

Set against the familiar surroundings of old Ghaziabad, Bakaiti Season 2 brings the Katarias together once again as they face a new set of challenges and changing family dynamics.

Bakaiti Season 2 Trailer Promises Double the Family Drama

Produced by Dice Media and directed by Samar Iqbal, the second season brings back the core cast, including Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chaddha, Tanya Sharma and Aditya Shukla. They are joined by Devishi Madan, Ritwik Nambiar and Ashok Chavan.

The trailer hints at a season that expands the family universe while retaining the slice-of-life humour and emotional warmth that defined the first installment.

Almost a year after the events of Season 1, the Kataria family enters a new phase when an unexpected situation brings Ajay, Alka and Aman back to Kataria Kutir. With both Kataria families now living under the same roof, the temporary arrangement quickly turns into a series of arguments, misunderstandings, old grievances and comic situations.

What Is Bakaiti Season 2 About?

The new season revolves around the Kataria family dealing with several personal and financial challenges while trying to maintain peace within the household.

As the family struggles with financial pressure, relationship problems and Nanaji’s declining memory, another major issue emerges—the possible redevelopment of Kataria Kutir.

What initially appears to be a dispute over property gradually becomes a much more emotional issue for the family. The house represents years of memories, relationships and shared experiences, forcing each member to think about what the place truly means to them.

At the centre of the chaos is Sanjay Kataria, who finds himself attempting to handle one family crisis after another while keeping the household from falling apart.

More Than Just a Family Comedy

While Bakaiti Season 2 promises plenty of humour, the story also explores themes such as love, ambition, insecurity, identity, nostalgia and family relationships.

The fate of Kataria Kutir becomes a central emotional thread, with the series exploring an important question: Is a home simply defined by its walls and property, or by the people and memories associated with it?

The second season aims to find humour in familiar family situations—from financial disagreements and sibling equations to parenting issues, relationships and generational differences.

Double the Katarias, Double the Bakaiti

One of the major attractions of Season 2 is the presence of both Kataria families under one roof. Their contrasting personalities and opinions create plenty of opportunities for comic situations while also allowing the show to explore different sides of family relationships.

The returning ensemble of Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chaddha, Tanya Sharma and Aditya Shukla reprises their popular characters, while Devishi Madan brings a new dynamic to the Kataria household. Ritwik Nambiar and Ashok Chavan are also part of the ensemble.

With its combination of family humour, emotional conflicts and relatable everyday situations, Bakaiti Season 2 looks set to continue the Katarias’ story while taking their personal and family struggles into a new chapter. The series premieres exclusively on ZEE5 on September 25.
