Asin reigned as a leading actress in the early 2000s in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema. In Tamil her biggest hits were Jeeva’s ‘Ullam Ketkume’, ‘M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi’ with Jayam Ravi, ‘Ghajini’ with Suriya, ‘Pokkiri’, ‘Kavalan’ and ‘Sivakasi’ with Vijay, ‘Varalaru’ with Ajith and ‘Dasavatharam’ with Kamal Haasan.
Asin then found instant stardom in her Bollywood debut in Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’ ans raced to the top in no time. However she fell in love with Micromax founder Rahul Sharma and got married in 2016. The couple have a daughter Arin born in 2017.
Asin, who is not active on social media occasionally posts photos of her pretty little daughter. On her fifth birthday in October she shared pics of the bash on Instagram and wrote “SHE is the light of our lives and it’s her birthday TODAY!!!!! HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY ARIN!
