Actress Asia Argento has accused 'The Fast and the Furious' director Rob Cohen of drugging and sexually abusing her during the filming of an action movie.
"It's the first time I'm talking about Cohen. He abused me, making me drink GHB, he had a bottle of it," Argento said, talking about her experience during the filming 'XxX' in 2002, which also starred Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson. "At the time, I really didn't know what it was. I woke up in the morning naked in his bed. I confirm what [was] reported by Corriere. I talk about it in my autobiography," the actress mentioned. Adding that she was initially unaware of the fact that she had been drugged and raped, Argento said, "I discovered later, speaking with a friend who opened my eyes about that substance [GHB]." Although she had decided against talking about the incident as "she did not want to create another storm," Argento opened up about it now since two other women, including his daughter, had spoken against the director.
Rob Cohen, however, denied all the allegations and maintained that they were completely false. "Mr Cohen categorically denies Asia Argento's accusation of assault against him as absolutely false. When they worked together, they had an excellent working relationship and Mr. Cohen considered her a friend, so this claim dating back to 2002 is bewildering, especially given what has been reported about her in recent years," Cohen's spokesperson mentioned in a statement.
