Director Shankar known for his grandeur films over the years on the personal front is married to Easwari and has three children Aishwarya, Aditi and Arjith. His eldest daughter Aishwarya recently got married to industrialist and cricketer Rohit Damodaran.

Aditi Shankar meanwhile made her acting debut opposite Karthi in 'Viruman' produced by Suriya and directed by Muthaiah. The film is nearing completion and is expected to release in the first quarter of 2022.
